The Ultimate In Birding Tours

Become a Birdquest Leader

We are always looking to recruit new Birdquest leaders.

Potential candidates need to be exceptionally skilled birders, with a minimum personal birding experience of five Birdquest tour itineraries in their entirety.

Existing experience guiding bird tours is an advantage, but is not essential for the right candidate.

A very high level of field skills and considerable knowledge of the relevant avifaunas, as well as excellent logistical and interpersonal skills, are essential requirements for Birdquest guides.

Birdquest offers superior pay rates compared to the great majority of bird tour companies.

Applicants must be in a position to lead at least two tours for us annually.

If you are potentially interested in joining our team, contact Mark Beaman at his direct email address: markasbeaman@gmail.com

You can be certain that all enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.

We would like to see more women working in our industry as top-end bird tour guides. Please apply!

Important: In order to be considered, please be sure to include in your application a list of all those Birdquest tour itineraries that you already know in their entirety, as well as details of all other relevant birding knowledge and experience. Please also include a list of all other areas of the world where you have personal birding experience, and if you only know part of the Birdquest tour itineraries in those areas, specify which parts you know and which you do not. Note: By experience of a Birdquest itinerary, we mean familiarity with the locations visited by our tour. We do not expect candidates to have participated in Birdquest tours.
