Josh Olszewski

Josh Olszewski lives in Cape Town, South Africa, but is originally from Johannesburg. He has had a passion for birds since the age of four and has travelled very extensively and repeatedly across South Africa, being very well-acquainted with all its endemics, near-endemics and other specialities.

Josh is a certified nature guide, having obtained his qualifications from the Field Guides Association of South Africa, specializing in Bird Guiding. His interests extend well beyond the scope of birds into other fields of wildlife and nature, including mammals, reptiles and butterflies.

Josh was also awarded the 2018 Birdlife South Africa Owlet Award for his work in some of their conservation projects.
