... and as we left the Flinders Ranges, we took time to admire the cute Yellow-footed Rock-Wallabies (Pete Morris)
We were now in the outback proper, and it was here that we really excelled. Our first morning out we began with Cinnamon Quail-Thrush (Pete Morris)
... and soon found the rare and elusive Chestnut-breasted Whiteface (Pete Morris)
Further on, a Red-browed Pardalote was much appreciated (Pete Morris)

...whilst a pair of the elusive Banded Whiteface was a major surprise - the two rare whitefaces in one day! (Pete Morris)
The following morning we scoured the roadsides and soon found Gibber Chat (Pete Morris)
Rainful earlier in the year had led to flooding in the interior, and the remnants of this supported attractive Pink-eared and Freckled Ducks (Pete Morris)
