The last port of call on the main tour was Perinet, and here we found all we hoped for, starting with this magnificent Madagascar Rail. (Pete Morris)
Other highlights included this stunning Collared Nightjar on the forest floor with its two chicks (Pete Morris)
... some amazing displaying Short-legged Ground-Rollers (Pete Morris)
... a couple of endearing Madagascar Pygmy Kingfishers (Pete Morris)
... and enjoyed more good views of Madagascar Harrier-Hawk (Pete Morris)
As we headed back to Tana, we stopped to watch a lovely pair of Madagascar Pratincoles that were feeding their small chicks, our last new bird on the main tour. (Pete Morris)
We began the extension in Maroantsetra where this Tomato Frog (Dyscophus antongilii) was the only highlight of a wet afternoon! (Pete Morris)
