Bluethroats were amazingly common and really showed off (Mark Van Beirs).
This Horned (Slavonian) Grebe inhabited a small overgrown pond at the edge of an elm wood (Mark Van Beirs).

The bird of the trip on our recent Hispaniola & Puerto Rico tour was the enigmatic La Selle Thrush which posed so very well for us in the highlands of the Dominican Republic. The bird on the right is a Red-legged Thrush (Angie Cederlund).
The first tody of the tour was the cute Broad-billed Tody, which is widespread in the lowlands of the Dominican Republic (Angie Cederlund).

It usually takes a bit of effort to locate Antillean Siskins. This female was quietly foraging above our heads in the pine zone (Angie Cederlund).
