Kenya is a fantastic destination and on this extraordinary Birdquest, the world's ultimate bird tour in fact, a bird list of over 800 is likely! This male Somali Ostrich was photographed at Samburu Game Reserve (Pete Morris)
With almost 1100 species already recorded from this one country, far more than from any equivalent area on the continent. Kenya’s remarkably rich avifauna is a direct consequence of a highly varied topography combined with an extraordinary diversity of climatic conditions and habitats (including virtually everything from dry savannas to verdant forests, from snow-capped volcanoes to mangrove-fringed mudflats, from deserts to great lakes and from rugged mountains to rich grasslands). Like some of the countries of South America, Kenya exhibits great changes in the composition of its birdlife over very short distances, but, unlike much of South America, birding here is delightfully easy, with many open and bird-rich habitats to enjoy.
Our 'Ultimate' journey through this scenically spectacular country has been specifically designed to produce more Kenyan specialities than any other birding tour. We feel that it is not only the ‘Ultimate Kenya Birding Tour’ but also ‘The World’s Ultimate Birding Tour’! Why not join us for this ultimate experience?
